alright guys i was just reading i think it was last months issue of turbo magazine and it was talking about putting a supra engine in the RX-7 and a whole bunch of other stuff.....well i want to know how much it would cost to put a supra engine into the RX-7 , but not will all those modifications, just to make the car work, and also, that turbo they use in there , the HKS GT 3037S turbos, do any of yall know anything about thsoe turbo chargers because i cannot find anything about them aiight thanks guysssss

 

I don't know what the cost will be for labor. On the supraforums I see people quoting about 3 grand (on the low side) for a complete 2jzgte engine with the stock turbos. Also the reason you didn't see a hood on that car is because it doesn't fit underneath the stock hood, it needs a custom one that is raised up and people who've seen it says its ugly. If you're going to convert to piston, I'd stick with the LT1 for ease of conversion and fitting into the stock body lines.

 

Supposedly they are the first people to try that swap so basically it would be hard, expensive, and a long wait. I don't think that car is even running yet.

Do a search for Granny's speed shop, they have a kit for a LT1 conversion.

 

allllright thanks, i thought the LT1 was also used in the vettes???? but it only says camaro, also, would i have to get a supercharger instead of a turbocharcher cuz of the engine type?????
