Question for you battery relocation guys

I was wondering whats a good clean way to hook the positive cable to the fues box in the engine bay. I know I can unscrew the stock cable from the fuse box then bolt my new cable right there but I dont really like the way it looks. Whats another place to attach it besides that metal piece, I'd like to remove or cut off that metal piece. I know I've seen people that dont have it so there has to be a way to do it.

Thanks,
STEPHEN

Not that I'm a pro or N E thing but allot of us attach the positive cable from the battery to the starter. Good luck

Yeah, I actually did it the ugly way (at the old terminal) cuz I was lazy. But, at the starter would be a lot cleaner. The wiring diagram shows it as a direct connection.

Yea, I know. I was thinking of doing that but I'm not actually relocating my battery. I just want to cut off that metal tab on the fuse box to make it nicer. I hate to run my positive all the way to the starter.

Hmmm, doesnt the starter go back to that fuse box? If so does it bolt to the fuse box? It must. Could I maybe bolt my battery positive to the same place on the fuse box that the starter is bolted to? If it is in fact bolted to the box?

Anyone know for sure???

Thanks man,
STEPHEN

Ok, so it appears the starter does in fact go striaght to the fuse box and bolts to it. Looks like I can just run my battery positive cable to that same bolt. My only concern is that would basically be by passing the fuse for the starter. I guess I would need to put a fuse in there but what size? Its going to be drawing a lot of current since it powers the entire car so I can just stick in the same size fuse that the starter usually uses.

Tmiked- I didnt see your post when I posed my post before this one. Thanks for the info

So anyone want to comment on the fuse issue???
Thanks,
STEPHEN

Garfinkle makes a thick copper part for the the welding cable to bolt to , looks good. You can connect to the starter as stated. When he runs the cable from the front to rear he runs it through the rocker panel with grommits, not under the car with the gas lines as others do .
