Question on vacuum

Drove from Seattle to Denver as part of a company relocation. In Seattle, my FD always pulled about 17lbs of vacuum at idle. I noticed after arriving in Denver, my car is only pulling about 14.5lbs.

Could elevation be causing this or could something have broken, shaken loose etc during the 1350 mile drive?

Yes, altitude will affect the vacuum readings.

Don't you mean pulling "inches of mercury", not 'pounds'?

My bad. I realize one doesn't measure vacuum in PSI but I'm so used to only paying attention to the boost side of my guage and my Defi guage uses the same scaling on either side of "0". Sometimes I should think before I type.
