question on side mirror

I have a 95 fd, and the passenger / left side mirror glass has always been floppy. I just though it was beat, and I was going to replace it at some point. But, driving along a few days ago, the inner glass popped loose, but is still attached to motor backing plate / assembly, etc. The unit is 100% fine, but the four screws holding the mirror motor plate to the housing mounting plate had come loose.

Now. How do I get it apart, and then back together?

There is no accessing the screws with the glass in place, but how do I assemble it then?

Anyone? It seems to have been put together by magneto, or some other sorcery.

The glass is held on by adhesive. Carefully heat it with a heat gun and you can pop it loose. Then access the screws behind. You can re-attach it afterwards by heating up the adhesive and pushing it back on firmly.
