Question regarding aftermarket fuel rail installation fitment

So I got my fuel setup in and I pressed the aluminum sleeves into the lower intake manifold. Currently they are sitting flush on the LIM, I am not sure if I am supposed to press them any further into the LIM, there is roughly 1.5 to 2 cm of space left that they could be pressed down.

My only concern if I press them any further is that I think there will be large of a space for the injectors to get a proper seal at the base (between the o-ring and sleeve)

Un-bolted the assembly is very loose.

Here are two pictures for reference.

I feel like the injectors should be sitting further down into the LIM ?

It looks like the injector on the right is pushed further in than the one on the left. When I installed my aftermarket secondary rail the injectors were popped up like that as well, I just pushed them on nice and tight and then tightened down the rail and it pulled them in nicely. If there's going to be an issue I don't see any way to resolve it (in my situation), so I don't think you should have any issues either. I do remember having the same fear, but the injectors seem to seal nicely so I don't know. If I get everything together before someone else replies I'll let you know how it goes with mine.

Hopefully if I'm wrong someone will speak up though.

i think when i did mine i pushed the aluminum inserts onto the injectors to make sure the o-ring stuck out of the bottom a bit. i honestly don't recall how far the inserts came to the LIM. you did remove the diffusers that were under the stock injectors though correct?

One other question... I noticed there is nowhere for me to connect the fuel temperature sensor on the aftermarket secondary rail like there is on the primary rail. Is that sensor a necessary component or can it be eliminated?

It can be removed. just make sure that whatever ems you're running if it makes any fuel adjustments for the fuel temp that you zero them out.

You can drill and tap the rail to accept the fuel temp. sensor. That's what I would do. I know you are running the PFC, so if you don't want to do that, you just need to take the fuel temp adjustments to zero as dudemaaanownsanrx7 said.
