Question on rear end Differential (LSD).?

I was wandering what other brand out there makes a stronger Diff.? I blew my diff. yesterday, and was wandering whether it was the pumkin cover that was the weak line or was it the LSD itselfs inside that had cause it to break it, because of higher HP.

You can run a TurboII diff - it's less fancy, but it does seem to be beefier. Do some searching on that.

The stock diff does well if you don't abuse it with hard launches and wheel hop.

Technically that's not a broken diff, that's a broken case. The cases normally break from bad wheel hop at high power and/or traction, usually due to worn engine mounts and diff mounts.

The diff itself may or may not be ok. Most likely at least the pinion and ring gear is harmed. If the case seperated enough for the gear mesh to go out of whack you can be sure they tried to eat eachother.

Yeah my thoughts exactly Damon. The case blew, so i was just wandering was it the Diff, or the Pumpkin case... What other pumpkin case is out there that makes a stronger hold?
