Question re: part numbers for rear strut mounts (difference between '93 & '94?)

I just orderded new rear strut mounts for my '94 FD because when I installed my new tokicos and RSR downs, I only replaced the front strut mounts and kept the old, worn rear strut mounts. Because of this, the rear end is sitting about a half-inch lower than it should, since the old springs left such an indentation in the rubber of the original mounts.

So I ordered new mounts for the rear to install this weekend, but I noticed that the part numbers differ from '93 to '94 parts. I received the strut mounts for a '93 which is part number FD01 28 110-A, but apparantly the correct part number for my '94 should be FD15 28 110-A.

The only difference in the part number is the FD01 is changed to FD15. Is there any major physical difference between the two mounts? If so, should I return these '93 mounts and buy the .94 mounts elsewhere, or is this being way too nit-picky?

Below are screen shots of the 1993 and 1994 parts lists:

Thanks for your input!

Great question since I'm behind you in the spring/shock process. I don't suppose you would like to photograph the install would you? I'm going to be installing Tokico Illuminas and Tein H-Techs when the springs arrive.

I'd love to document it, but I've had my mechanic do it all for me...With these areas of the car, I'd rather spend the money to know it's done right rather than be proud that I got it done, then worry how good of a job I did as I go 140 MPH on the track.

If anyone's got an idea about the difference between the two, please let me know.

Thanks,

Ian

I doubt there's any significant difference. My guess is that even if you order using the 93 part number, you'll still get a package with the 94 part number on it.

Funny, that's one reason why I'd prefer do it myself.
