Question on Defi gages.

For those of you that have a Defi boost gauge. After you set the warning light with the engine running does the setting stay when you turn the car off and then back on again? I checked the constant wire for power and its ok, but after I turn the ignition off the warning setting is lost. Can you guys give me some input?

The warning and everything is supposed to stay intact even if you turn the car off. That's what the 12V constant to the CU is for. I don't think it's anything crazy like a flash prom or something, so it does require voltage/current to stay intact. Make sure that your red wire (supposed to be 12V constant) is in fact getting 12V all the time and that there's no interruption when you start the car (like happens with the radio when you have it on, and then go to start the car).

I thought everything powered down when you started the car. Do you have a suggestion for a good 12V constant that doesn't power down during engine start? Thanks for answering my question, i didn't think anyone would answer by now. haha
