Question about VINs

Alrignt, a friend of mine works at a car lot, and he runs cars to the Manheim auto acution. Well, he and his dad were looking at an FD, but someone told them that the VIN said that the car was not a twin turbo model. Now, to my knowledge there was never an FD sold that wasn't twin turbo. Can someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks,
Ryan

Other than Mahjik's wonderful link, if you want a straight and to the point answer, every FD sold was a twin turbo.
