Question Question about the Torque Braces...

I am trying to purchase one of the Torque Braces at RX7store here http://www.rx7store.net/index.asp?Pa...S&Category=339
but I was wondering which is better? The solid brace or the one with the dampner??? I heard that over time the dampners go bad because of abuse and overuse..... do they feel any different when installed???
To the people who has any kind of brace.... does it really feel like a new car????? meaning.... like no chattering while take off??

The dampner absorbs vibrations at idle. From what I've read it can get pretty harsh without it.

EDIT: Here's the write up RonKMiller did on his engine torque brace. At the end of the thread he switches to a brace with a torque dampner, because the solid one transmitted too much vibration at idle...

No problem.

Another interesting piece of info; some people say the same effects that a torque brace gives can be achieved with AL motor mounts. I personally have no firsthand experience with either tho, so accept the information accordingly.

I dont have any experience with the rx7store torque braces, but i have garfinkles torque brace and i love it. I would probably go with the dampened system, if the car is a street car. Im sure the rx7store has a great brace too. The brace really does make the car seem like a new car when shifting. Good luck and have fun.
