Question about the stock fans

I am thinking about using the stock fans on my new project. I am building a standalone cooling system again and in the past I used Perma cool fans. So this time I may use the stockers but I have a question. The stock fan motors have four wires - Two are ground and two 12v. I want both motors to come on when the temperature controller sends a signal to the relay. Should I use the top two on each fan, which is black and green ? Cut the other two off ?

thanks

Are you using a single aftermarket relay? Looking at the wiring diagram, it does not show the wire colors for fan side of the connector. You'll need to correlate the colors with the harness side of the connector. There are two windings in the motors, grounding the Black and Blue/Orange and powering the Yellow/ White on both motors and the White on one and Red/Yellow on the other will give you high speed.
