Question about smoke on rebuilt motor?

It's just a little bit of smoke when the car first warms up. Am I being paranoid or what? Should any smoke be coming out of the tail pipe on warm up? I'm just finishing up the brake in. Please Help!

Andrew

what color/kind is it? If its white fuel smoke its good old Rx7 fare, if its blue/oil or white/coolant you might have some problems, you gotta tell the color and check the odor to really know...

if it's a little damp out and the exhaust doesn't smell like anything then it's probably just condensation burning off. during the winter and spring my car would produce a lot of it while it was warming up.

a new motor will burn more than a broken in motor. take it back to the shop and have them check if you think it is excessive. there should be no white clouds, just small puffs. also are your turbos leaking or did u also rebuild them?

A little smoke on a fresh rebuild is normal. CJ
