Question about seals

What are the best seals when it comes down to rebuilding an engine? There are so many different ones and it all confuses me. How are each seals different..

Thanks

i would just go with oem seals, either 2mm or 3mm depending on which side of the 2mm-3mm argument you are on.

2mm seals are weaker but more power can be made with them due to friction. 3mm seals are stronger and can save a motor if you ping a little, but you lose a teeny bit of power due to friction. Go with whatever your engine builder and tuner says.

Go with OEM Mazda seals. It's a toss-up between 2mm seals and 3mm seals. Some people say that 3mms can take more detonation, but really there is no clear cut answer as to what is the better choice. 3mm seals are on average an extra $300 or so because you have to mill out the rotor grooves to fit the larger seal in.
