Question about foglights

Is it possible to order replacement parts fot the FDs foglights? I want to replace the glass and rubber gaskets but I am afraid that I will have to buy the whole housing. Any info would be great.

For the most part, the stock fog lights don't illuminate much of anything. It might be less expensive to buy aftermarket lights that will work better. If you really like the stock lights, check in the parts section for some used ones.

I agree with Adam C. I went with Piaa 1100's. Very close to stock size and in fact I was able to use the stock mounting bracket (with a slight modification). They light up the road "much" better than stock! Wiring was very simple, I cut off the stock plug from the "stock fog light harness" and attched the new plug from the Piaa wiring harness. Took a total of about 10 min, including stripping, soldiering, and shrink wrapping the four wires. It's pretty much plug and play after that.

Here's a few pics to give you an idea on how I mounted them and what they look like installed.

If you want to stay with the stock lights (as I did), you can have lens polished an most glass shops. I don't think it's expensive. Other than the O-ring seal on the removable cap, the only gasket that I recall on the housings is actually a soft plastic gasket on the outer housing holding those glass lens. But it seemed pretty tough and mine still looked new.
FWIW, I improved the 35w stock halogens on mine with Sylvania H3 ST "high performance 55w". More than doubled the light but admittedly nothing to brag about, and a bit expensive.

Thanks for the info. The reason I ask is because, I took the old ones apart to clean them and the soft rubber gasket on the glass is torn/ripped and would like to fix them if at all possible.

If you have it out I'd try laying out flat and use some silicone adhesive caulk to hold it together, overlapping any torn ends. Let it sit overnight and just reinstall. You should never have to take it off again anyway. Tube of caulk is about $2 if you don't already have some.
