Question about flooding with 2 Fuel Pumps????
Guys,
Need some help here:
I have 2 Supra pumps in tank with -6 lines from each pump to each rail, back to a SX reg. When my car sits for a couple weeks it takes me 5-8 tries to start the car. HKS Twinpower IGNITION. It seems flooded and I get the poping on the exhaust like there is fuel sitting in the exhaust. These pumps are also run to regulators directly to my battery to maintain high voltage at all times.
Could the pumps be putting so much pressure on the injectors causing them to leak while the casr sits? Can I release the pressure when I park it someway with a shrader valve or something. Running a E6K/T78 tuned by Steve Kan. Once it stays running and I get going and give it some boost I am good to go. But the process repeats when it gets parked for a few weeks.
Help a brother out!
THANKS
RON

After it sits for a few weeks....
when I turn the ignition to the on position before I start the car the Autometer Fuel Pressure gauge reads 39-40psi and as soon as I turn the ignition to the on position I hear the pumps fire up! Then I try to stat the car 8 times

why not just start the car more often?
I also have 2 supra pumps but haven't had the car sit for longer than about 5 days
If the fuel pressure goes down to 0 like it should after about an hour or so then I don't see how letting the car sit for any longer would have the effect of putting pressure on the injectors
sorry I wish I could help more but my knowledge is limited on this
I say give steve a call and ask him!

Do you actually know its flooding?
Let it sit for a week or so. Before you start it, check the plus to see if its actually flooding.
Then you can narrow it down form there.
