Question about FD worth
I was wondering what an FD is worth with a salvage title but has a fully rebuilt engine with 35k mi on it with mismatching color body parts (blue car with red hatch, red hood, red front bumber)?
I think it is the salvage title that has many on this board concerned. For all you know the frame was compromised. Even if the car was fresh painted etc, the value will be greatly impacted.

I realize it sucks to hear that, but the best bet is to part is out. Chassis with full interior with salvage title is probably worth around $25-3500.00. Good longblock around $1500-2k. Trans-$300.00, Diff-$300.00, Fans/Radiator-$150.00, Exhaust-$300.00
It could be worse, I was sitting on 5 fds when the economy took a **** back in the fall. Once I thought would bring near $17k and I will be happy when/if it sells for $12k.

The price of everything is going down.
Earlier this week I saw a local FD on craigslist that had 60k miles, well maintained stock car with a clean title.
The price had been coming steadily down, as it has been listed for several weeks.
I believe it sold this week at the listed price of $8900.
I don't need two FD's, or I would have checked it out.
So a car with a salvage title just isn't worth much.
