Question about donut...

I had a tire go down on me on the way to work last night... and I work about 26 miles from my house. Is it safe to go that far on a donut? Never had to use before as my last 4-5 cars had full size spares... (BMW, Audi etc)

Just wanted to see if anyone has done that...

I know you're supposed to keep the speed down but wasn't sure about mileage.

As long as the pressure in the tire was good (I can't recall the spec, but it's high), that distance is no problem. Especially if you don't exceed 55.

Thanks it says 80 psi, I had it about 75 and kept it at and below 55.
