Question about disconnecting battery and swapping ECU...
Hi everybody,
I am about to swap out my stock ECU for a M2 stg III ECU, but I have a few questions. When I disconnect the battery will I need some sort of code to input so that my car and all the accesories start right up again?
I remember reading a thread a long time ago and I remember somebody saying something about not being able to start up the car after doing some work to the car. The thing is I dont remember if that person was trying to install a aftermarket alarm and screwed up the stock alarm in the process, or if they had just disconnected the battery.
But I just wanted to make sure cause I dont want any problems when I swap ECUs.
TIA

Disconnect away, nothing will happen to the starting procedure. You'll have to reset your clock, but thats the only thing that you'll need to do differently AFAIK.,
