Question about auto radiator cooler
On the Auto radiator, is that a trans cooler on the bottom of it? I just don't see how it could lower temps. It almost seems like a trans fluid warmer for colder climates.

there is a power steering cooling loop located below the radiator, maybe that's what you're talking about.
Auto trans FDs have the cooler located behind the passenger front opening of the front bumper...... similar to a manual trans FD with dual R1 coolers.

And to answer your question if you look at the diagram it shows the hot oil flow into the radiator cooler then to the ambient air cooler and then back to the transmission.
I guess it could help warm up the oil but once everything is is at operating temp it is a transmission cooler.
