RIght now i have a rx7 fashion FMIC on my 93 R1. The problem is, the FMIC is so big that its corners are pressing up against my front bumper. THe bumper is stretched to the point that there are like 4 dent like depressions in the bumper between the two corners of the FMIC and the paint is cracking and chipping where the corners of the FMIC are. I plan on ordering an aftermarket front end to remedy the problem.

My question is, will the 99 front lip provide any more clearance than the original fron end on my car. I don't want to pay $1000 for a new front end and end up with the same problem.

Do you have pics of exactly where it is contacting?

 

from what i understand the 99 spec is mroe FMIC friendly.
