Question about 1994 R2 Special Edition Japanese RX7

Okay so I was browsing the FAQ and came across a color code stickey. I was curious to see what color my car was originally so I checked the door sill. 3L silverstone metallic.

Now also on this tag it said R2 special edition. I searched here and the web and didn't find any info. Does anyone know what was "special" about the 1994 R2 Special Edition? By the way mine is a Japanese model.

(borrowed from Wikipedia)

In North America, three models were offered; the "base", the touring, and the R models. The touring FD had a sunroof, leather seats, and a complex Bose Acoustic Wave system. The R (R1 in 1993 and R2 in 1994–95) models featured stiffer suspensions, an aerodynamics package, suede seats, and Z-rated tires. (+ dual oil coolers... unmentioned in the Wiki entry)

As mentioned above the R2 was the "R" model in the US. I am not sure how the designation applied in the home market.

In the US you can call Mazda Customer Service and give them your VIN and they can give you information on your model and how it was delivered from the factory. You might give that a shot, I'm sure the JP Mazda site has a customer service number.
