Thumbs up Quality Fiberglass

So today I took the day off of work and decided to hit up some twisties. So I'm taking this long, mellow, slightly banked turn around 80mph. Anyway, in the middle of the turn there's a big dip in the road. My front end totaly bottoms out. It made the most God-awful sound. A really loud crunch. So I start yelling out obscenities think I ruined my front end. I have the C-Westin front end. So the whole way home I'm thinking I ruined my front and I don't want to get out and look. So I get home and am expecting the worse when I inspect the damage. Turns out there's not a crack, chip, or sign of any damage. I've had an Apexi knockoff that would crack from just scraping driveways. So those of you in doubt about fiberglass, just know that if it's a quality product, it can withstand a good amount of abuse without damaging.

I agree... I had the Real Mazdaspeed Type II and have done something similar to it. The mountain pass that me and my friends go, has many downhill hairpins. Since I have stock suspension it would scrape when I braked and then it would hit the road really hard where the downhill ends. Only scrape marks on the bottom no cracks...

I did break it eventually...on a guardrail though...

I've gone through a few REAL Knightsports bumpers and I even rear ended someone with one of them. The only thing that happend was the bumper flexed, paint cracked and once crack in the FG.

This stuff is strong and flexible....let's see a wings west FG, or other copy kit do the same.

I've seen civics crack on a speed bump with cheap kits.

Ok, enough of that now - play nice.

I think FG may not be as bad as many think (if its quality I'm sure). Remember the scene in F&F where the orange Supra jumps the hill and lands on its FG bumper? I half expectd it to disintegrate on impact. (of course, no closeups of if any cracks developed).

I have a nasty crack in the stock 'urethane' bumper of my Civic from when I rear-ended a Expedition, so I guess 'urethane' is not as indestructable as one would think, and FG (with quality stuff) maybe more durable then expected.
