a Q for pple that bought an ECU from pettit

hey for those of you that bought a brand new ecu from pettit did you have to send in your OEM ecu to them??? or do they just send you a new one...

the reason i ask is that they state this in their ecu description
"Core charge extra, or use your own."

and how much is the core charge ?? on top of 699

i emailed them but didn't get a response .....

You have two options:

1. Send them your unit and they will send you back a new one, no core charge. Just the $699 price.

2. Purchase a new one for $699, the core charge is $650, and then send them back yours after you replace it and get your core charge back.

Yep, you have to send them yours or face a $650 core charge and they will send you another one. I was out of an ecu for 3 weeks until they sent me the new one back.
