Pulling Alternator apart.
Hey, I bought an alternator off someone, and it makes a clicking sound when i spin the pulley. So, I am guessing something is wrong inside.....
Anywho, any good sites that show how to pull the alternator apart, and where to get replacement pieces? Thanks!

You're going to need an impact gun with a 24mm socket, and impact driver (possibly).
I believe there's 8 phillips screws holding the casings together, and 2-3 more holding on the voltage regulator.
Check out the factory service manual for a disassembled diagram.
Hope this helps.

Very much. Thank you!
I have impact wrench..... 850 ft. lbs. too much? Maybe use a lower setting?
Hopefully I can get it fixed. No rush though, my current alternator works alright, but it drops to 12V when i press the brakes. Then back to 13.5V when I let go.
Thanks again!

I'd get that "new" one fixed, fast! that or use it as a core and get a new one from Ray Crowe @ Malloy..
Mine started acting kinda funky like that and I didn't think much of it. Than within the space of like a week (maybe two) it just completely went to ****! I'd get a, no ****, new one on hand to be safe.
Good Luck =)
