Pull Engine or Pull Tranny?.... rear seal

ive pulled the tranny before to do the clutch, but ive never pulled the engine before. which would be easier to get to the rear main seal and rotor seals?

i have an engine lift available to me.

If I understand correctly, you're basically needing to OH the engine, right? to do that, you have to pull the engine. I find it easier to pull the engine with the tranny...

I would recommend pulling the motor unless you have a lift.

What do you mean "rotor seals"? For the rear main only you'll want to just pull the tranny and flywheel with the engine in the car. If you need to replace anything on the rotors themselves you must pull the motor so you can open it up.

Yea I need to do this as well, my fresh rebuild is already leaking from the rear seal.

You don't have to pull the motor, just the transmission and flywheel and you're good to go.

Good luck
