Puff of smoke. Is this ok?

My friend was behind me one day when I was driving. He sadi that when I floored it; I got a small puff of blue or black smoke out fo the exhaust.

Other then that my car doens't smoke at all, except on the first start when its cold out.

Should I be stressing about this?

It just means you car is running rich (if it was black). Mine does the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes..I agree with P'Cola. If its black you're in the clear. Blue you have an oil leak somewhere. My 94 runs rich also, I puff a little black smoke when I get on the gas too. You cold fix it if you wanted. But its not a big deal. Better rich than lean.
