There is only one knock sensor, has a sigle wire connector which is located under the alternator (rear of).

there is only one...you can screw it in either hole.

I had a hard time finding my plug too...it comes over the top from the approx. solenoid rack area...it isn't off the side harness like you'd think. I had to take my UIM off again to find the damm thing...

alright, so there should be two holes there, one for either rotor, now if the ones not plugged , it wont leak at all right ? i have 2 sensors so i can just keep both in there and only plug one in if the rear rotor housing will leak because of it. thanks surge and everyone else for the responses

there is no passage way behind the sensor. if you take it out...nothing will leak...the threads go to no where. the knock sensor is a microphone and basically listens "through" the threads...it doesn't touch any fluids of any kind

very good, now another question, is it safe to leave the hoses off that go from the LIM to the intake and the air pump to the intake ?

There is only a white wire to the knock sensor(1) and that is the only sensor. It connects to pin 3M on the ECU.

As far as the hoses, I tell everyone to hook them back up. After you are sure the engine is in and running right, then tinker with removals and block-offs. This will save you in the long run with tunning and adjustments.

Just my 2 cents.
