Problems with my new RE steering collum gauge pod

It fits in there fine. The only problem I have is lining it up with the bottom peice of the steering collum plastic. Since this is the real RE gauge pod, i'm assuming the jdm rx7's have a different bottom plastic peice that it lines up to perfectly, but i'm not sure. Thought i'd ask see if anybody has one of these and could give me some help. Thanks.

it should mount fine but require some trimming around the sides where the turn signal/window wiper arms stick out. yeah they aren't made for us cars....

I have a genuine one, it mounts fine besides trimming the sides as alwan mentioned.
