problems with idling

So lately I've been joyriding my rex a lot.

I'm sure many, if not all, can vouch for me on how fun it can be to take the day off and simply drive for hours..

but I've noticed a problem, and hopefully there's someone out there who could enlighten me about what's going on.

After turning off the ignition, and starting it back up (keeping in mind this is at least 3 hours of driving), the engine sounds almost as if it's dying.

I've stalled twice after successfully starting the car, and the rpm idles between 700-300.

My car itself has around 130k miles on it, but the engine should have been rebuilt to about 70-80k miles. I've installed a new starter two weeks ago, and as far as my recent tune up (2 weeks ago), there were no signs of leaks anywhere around the engine.

Anyone know what this problem might be?

thanks in advance
-paul

need more info

Hmmm. where to start. How long have you owned on this car? It could be ANYTHING! It wouldn't be bad to run a compression test on the car anyway. ..When was the last time you changed the plugs? Fuel filter?... Need more info to guide you in the right direction.
