Problem with the rx
I was comin home with my rx and when i shifted from 3rd to 4th it died out on me, i pulled over and got back runinng, on the way it stalled about 3 more times...i had to keep the rpms up from dieing down, the car next to me noticed i was back fireing. when i got home i turned it off and then when i started it up again it was shaking viciously and running way too rich, and smoking from the exhaust...its a 3rd generation, 94 twin turbo
anyone have any idea as to what is wrong, i'd appreciate the advise

What quicksilver said are two good guesses. One can be an easy fix, the other means an engine rebuild.
Sometimes a hose to the MAP sensor can come loose. If it has, reconnect it. An easy fix.
You're in PA. If you can't diagnose the prob or fix it yourself, you're in luck. You can't be too far from KD Rotary, one of the best FD repair places on the east coast. www.kdrotary.com
