Problem Plz Help

I have a new engine, new turbos. My mechanic followed a diagram for the non-seq setup. The car starts up fine and runs fine but he is worried because the car is smoking. Yesterday when we started it up initially it was okay, it started up fine. Today he was checking the car again, over looking it and he let it run for 30 minutes, it still smokes. His question for me is, where in this setup do the vaccume lines get their vaccume? I'm not sure what exactly that meant but yea..

So, what would be the cause of the car smoking???

here is the diagram we used to do the non seq.

hey,
i don't have a specific answer for your problem, but i have read in past threads that alot of rebuilds smoke initially during break-in. i guess it depends on how bad the car is smoking. you might want to do a search. it was in a topic i read withing the last 30 days.

the vac lines ALWAYS get vac from the pri inlet nipples. weird the "mechanic" can't see that???

air intake = intaking air = sucking air thru air filter, always.

well I only ran the car for 10 minutes because I was afraid of any damage I might cause by leaving the engine running. But yea, blue smoke just blows out the exaust. I followed that diagram exactly as shown. Is that diagram incorrect???

Yes the diagram is correct, and I can't see how vac lines will cause smoke issues...

Pull the IC pipes; and if there is more than a little oil in there...I'd point to the twins.

Okay, I figured out why it was smoking. I had forgotten to pull the precontrol actuator off. I'd left it connected and it was keeping the door closed so one of my turbos was building up with oil but yea.. I fixed that.

My new question is, occasionally now, when I'm driving a little blue smoke will come out the exaust. Is this normal for the non-seq setup? They are just little poofs of smoke, nothing like before.

I'm not understanding, your fix/problem before...you should have welded that door shut to begin with. You should have also pulled the flapper door out of the manifold too...or did you do the poorman's ns?

maybe just some extra oil still getting blown???

I did both of those. Is it normal for a little blue somke to come out at start up? I think like, a little extra oil gets into the turbos when my turbo timer goes on, and when I start it up, it takes a moment for it to burn the oil off, then it runs niceley after that. I've also noticed a little gassy smell, not like leak though, could this be a result of me having pulled all my emissions hoses etc??? The only vaccume im running are for the turbo. about 5 lines

and oh, 1 more thing... I havent been able to gas my car as im still in the process of breaking it in. But at 4,000 rpms I'm only making 1 psi of boost??? Do I have a leak or does it just take a long time for the turbos to hit full boost non seq, I have a down pipe, exaust and intake.

Thanks,
Greg
