Problem...need help (loose door panel)
Has anybody had problems with the driver's side door opening and closing? My problem is that the door panel itself has apparently come loose at the bottom and now scrapes across the kick panel every time i try to get in the car or out. I've taken a visual look and couldn't find any problems, maybe i lost a few clips that hold the panel to the door?
Any ideas???

I would begin by getting down real low and gently prying the panel away a little bit to peek inside with a flashlight. There are a couple of white plastic pop-clips that might need to be pushed back into the door. Note that they can move around where they attach to the panel, and make sure they line up with the hole in the metal door. That might be your only problem.
If that doesn't solve it, pull the panel and look for missing/broken clips.
Here's the procedure for the driver door:
First, pull off the triangular trim pieces at the front and rear corners by the glass.
Second, remove the 2 screws from the side of the panel that face the front. Remove the one screw on the side that faces the back.
Third, carefully pry out the 1"x1.5" cover in the bottom of the cup at the inside door opener. Then remove the screw.
Make sure the panel is free (un-popped) from the door all the way around the sides, top, and bottom. Lift the panel away as a whole, making sure the door handle doesn't get caught on the cup. You may need to bend the whole panel a little bit to avoid breaking that cup. When you get it clear of the door handle, disconnect the two electrical connectors b/t the door and panel.
Now inspect to see that all the while pop-clips are in place. I think there are two along the bottom. You might have a hard time finding spares, maybe Ray at Malloy can help buy them separately, or you might find them at the auto parts store.
When reassembling, first remove the black plastic bushings from the sides of the panel where the 3 screws go. Notice how the door has a moveable clip that these snap into? Use a screwdriver or pen to line the clip up with the hole before pushing the bushing in. Otherwise, reassembly is the opposite. Just don't overtighten the screws, and make sure the pop-clips don't shift out of place. It might help to use some silicone sealant to hold the clips to the door panel, so this doesn't happen again.
