Primary Injectors Grommets, needed?

Hello,

my car came from the engine builder and I found these 2 Injectors grommets (parts number 13-257) are stil in the Atkins master rebuild kit package.

So I put the rail out and inserted these 2 gromets in the holes on top of the diffusors. but now the engine runs really bad and stalls.

The car is a RX7 Jspec S7 from 96. Are these grommets needed or should i remove them?

This part: https://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/9...1-13-257A.html

best regards
Bastian

The link you posted is for secondaries. You need this one https://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/9...A1-13-257.html

With the stock fuel rails, yes you need the grommets

With the stock injectors/rails you absolutely need those.

I had to see the link to see that yes that would be needed. Although I have heard two sides about the actual injector diffusers that sit at the bottom that tend to break alot. I pulled my block and those broke when I touched them and seized the motor although it needed to be pulled apart anyway. To think that could happen when in the car would be horrible though.
