primary fuel rail mod for 850cc injectors

Hi I am going to put my stock 850cc injectors in my primary rail but from the info I found online they say to mill the top of rail down .125, but the injector will not sit down far enough like the original injector did unless it doesn't matter. If I were to mill further the top injector o ring will start to appear by the hole in the rail were the injector gets its fuel.
Please Help
Richard

I don't really recommend running the stock 850s in the primary location as they are old and it is difficult to get a good idle and cruising afr compared to a modern injector. If you really want to I have a milled and bead blasted rail I'll sell cheap.

+1 for not using the 850 primary. 550 primary and 1300 secondary will give you enough fuel if you want to maximize power on your stock twins.

I wouldn't use the 1300s either. I've had over 4 sets fail over the past 2 years. I refuse to install them or tune them any more. Best bet is to leave the stock primaries and fet something like the FFE fd steup up kit with your choice of injectors.

OP- Sorry to have a side conversation on your thread but hopefully this will help you make a decision.

My car currently has 550 primary and 1200 secondary injectors. I purchased the car this way and I am not sure how much whp it makes. Would you recommend the 1200cc secondaries if my power goal is 350whp. Other mods are brand new 99 spec turbos, jethot coated downpipe, M2 medium ic and airbox, pfc, boost controller, and a few other small upgrades. Things that I will be purchasing before getting it retuned are dual oil coolers and hks twin power. Any thoughts?

1200/1300 injectors are just modified stock 850s. They have an extremely high failure rate. I've gotten burned by them so many times that I plain refuse to install them or work on any car that has them. Best case scenario they leak and flood out the motor. Worst they stick closed under boost and you blow up. Plus swapping injectors on a twin turbo sequential car is no fun. If you do your research, most companies will no longer modify the 850s. I would get rid of them and go with the Full Function engineering fd fuel step up kit which adds a secondary rail, regulator, and lines/fittings to plumb it all. You can go with either ID 1300s or FIC Bosch EV14 1300s, depending on your budget. Injector Dynamics are the best. Hit me up if you would like a quote. Dual oil coolers is certainly a plus on any rotary and the twinpower will make the car run crisper and yield a power gain.
