This price good for this?

Is a 1994 R2 worth 16,500? or should i just go with a 1993 that is cheaper? the 94 is completely stock except for a k&n air filter for the stock air intake... its in really good condition

all stock? so the engine's original and hasn't been rebuilt? how many miles? if everything is in good shape, you should go for it cuz finding a 94 R2 is pretty hard but if it has around 70-100K miles on it even though the rest of the car is in good shape, you should expect to add about $4000 on top of the 16K you plan to buy the car for to rebuild the engine.

I would say so...but don't jump on it just yet. Make sure that everything checks out...don't just take the owner's word for it. It's preferred to buy a completely stock car so this is a good potential buy and the R2 is my favorite model cuz it doesn't have the leather interior and has dual oil coolers. Get a rotary mechanic to look at the car if you can't perform all the tests yourself (compression test, boost test, etc). Most importantly, make sure you test drive the car. Check if the car tracks straight and doesn't have any tranny problems like the 5th gear synchro grinding. I would say it's a better buy than most just by what you describe but check it out thoroughly first and no matter what, always trust your instincts...
