Prebuy questions
Hello to everyone, thanks for an informative website. Over the last few weeks I believe I have read every thread on here!
Here are some quick questions for you owners out there-
1) How is the A/C? I live in florida and hate the heat ( i should move, I know) I am curious as how cold the ac gets with the heat of the summer.
2) What is the tallest person that would be comfortable in a 7? What is the comfort level inside for long trips?
3) Reliability? How many use their 7 as a daily driver?
4) Average gas milage? I dont believe I have seen this anywheres yet.
I am thinking about purchasing a '94 touring as a daily driver. I wont be in trouble if the car goes bad for a few days, as it wouldnt affect me getting to work or home. I plan on having a reserve for a new engine/turbos should anything go sour. I dont plan on boosting too high (over 310-20) while driving it everyday. I am very mechanically inclined and as long as I have a service manual I think I will be fine. My prior car was a 300zxTT, even though the turbo setup is different I believe I can manage with the 7, the rotary doesnt seem too complicated.
I welcome all suggestions and comments. Thanks!!
Mike

~17 MPG

1.) It's cold enough for Southern CA, which isn't quite as humid as FL. The cabin is pretty tight, so you might be uncomfortable if you let the car get hot (sit outside all day).
2.) My friend who's about 6'1 and thin can drive my car with no problems. If you've got a big belly or large legs, you might be in trouble.
3.) I've been daily driving from 50k miles (63k today) , without any problems. I keep a strict maintenance schedule.
4.) My average mpg has been between 15-17. 20 was the best I ever got. The car is mostly stock, with a downpipe.
Good luck,
