PPF Adjustment
PPF Adjustment
I read the FSM and searched threads but still have a couple questions about adjusting the PPF.
1. The FSM says to lower the car to the ground after you've installed the transmission. Obviously I can't get under it to measure or adjust anything with it on the ground in my garage. Is there any reason why the car can't be on jack stands. Since everything involved is mounted to the chassis it shouldn't affect any alignment, right?
2. The FSM says to use a jack to hold the differential at 0 degrees. Relative to what?
3. The FSM says nothing about holding the transmission in any position. So I assume that all adjustment in the PPF mounting is at the transmission, i.e., if the differential is at the proper angle, the PPF bolts to it in only one position and then you match the transmission to that. Does that sound right?
Thanks for your help!
