power window relay

does our drivers side door have a relay for the power windows??

i looked at the 93 fact manual and it shows that thers only a switch and a regulator and wires controlling the window

the reason i ask is that my drivers side door cannot command any of the windows to go up or down... passenger still works only if commanded from the passanger door. I've concluded that its not the switch.

so anyway i opened up the door and found that the previous owner spliced a bosch 0 332 204 150 relay on to some wires... i'm not sure if this is for the windows.. any ways I unplugged it and the power locks still works, so i'm pretty sure that this relay's for the windows and that it may be fried.

I just want to make sure that this is a power window relay...
too bad all the hardware stores are closed at the moment , else i'd go and grab a replacement.

Bosch Relay

The relay you speak of may have been put there to fool the door switch if an aftermarket keyless entry is used. On our cars if you leave the windows down and lock the car you can't open the car by reaching in or you trip the alarm because the car door wasn't opened with key. The relay acts as the key signal in the door lock to the stock alarm. The only way you'll know is to continuity check the relay wires to the door lock module. You probably just have a bad window switch on your drivers side.
