My stock power plant frame is broken.

Where can i get an aftermarket alternative?

I know SR motorsports make one but for 650$ i could make one out of Stainless steel

 

Stainless is weaker and more prone to warpage than plain steel - why would you even consider it?

Mazdaspeed is another source.

I can´t find someone that sells the Mazdaspeed unit.

I was meaning that SS is much more expencive than plain steel, not that it would use it

 

the PPF resists engine twist (torque) and the pinion gear attempting to ride up the ring gear as the car is powered forward.

since the stock FD has 184 foot pounds of torque and modded Fds often double that # the stock PPF often needs help.

what you need is not a stronger PPF but a couple of helpers.

please see post 82 in my suspension thread for pics and an explanation. once you have the two helper items i recommend you just buy a used but uncracked OEM PPF in the classifieds.

mazdaspeed ppf is discountinued if you find one hold on to it thats my plan!
