power mirror switch & can I manually adjust mirrors?

My power mirror switch decided it will now only move the mirrors down- will I damage the mirrors pushing on the them to adjust the glass angle, meaning will it spin what ever motor moves them, or will that break something? Also does the switch just pry out or do I need to remove the door panel? Is that switch fixable?

Yes, you can manually move the mirrors. They will kind of "pop" as you move them. I've done it numerous times with no problems.

It's quite tricky to fix the mirror switch, you're better off with a new one. In theory you can do it without pulling the door panel but you're far better off if you pull the panel, that's one expensive piece of plastic it's sitting in and I'd rather spend 10 minutes pulling the door panel than risk breaking or damaging the door plastics.
