Power gain of midpipe over high-flow cat

Im thinking of getting a full exhuast but i dont know if i should get a midpipe and just swap it out every time for smog, or just get a high-flow cat? what would be the difference in horsepower from the mid-pipe over the cat?

Depending on the boost level and other factors....20-25 rwhp. However, you must have all of the supporting mods to run a midpipe. And if you have to ask what those are.....then don't get a midpipe.

I usually dont agree with statements like this....

But in this case I completely concur.

If you haven't done the research to know off hand, then you haven't done enough research yet. Learn the car before you try to extract everything you can out of it.

also remember you are in Kalifornia. The chp ***** will pull you over first for being too loud, then after one whiff as he's taking down your plates he'll tell you to pop the hood. Then you either have to put it back to stock or grab ankles and pay out the rear. You also have to consider your other mods. if you are on stock twins and ecu, kabooom.

True to a point. Running a resonated midpipe with the Racing Beat catback is not that loud. Your car should be off before the officer is even out of the car, so he isn't going to smell it much either.

The point is, don't drive like a complete jackass or with a flashy bodykit and you'll be fine.
