Power FC and Commander versions

I'm considering buying a used Power FC with serial #PFCFD3S4000-0194. I need to know what version this is, if possible, and if I can buy a Commander from any store and it will work. Or will I need to look for an older Commander for it to work. I don't want to buy this Power FC and be stuck without a way to tune it.

Thanks!
Wade

I bought a used PFC with commander and then bought the datalogit.
I don't use the commander much anymore, it's worthless for tuning.

Regardless, I need the option of using a commander because I don't want to take a PC with me every time I drive. Does anyone know how to tell which Commander version is needed?

Wade..

Tell who ever you are buying it from..
To power the CAR up with the pfc w/commander.

On initial start up. It shows the PFC version and
commander. I believe..

hope this helps..

Wade - I am not sure what version that PFC is, but here is mine for comparison.

PFCFD3S4010-0400
and commander - FCC3010-00519

PFC ver 5.08
FC commander3 ver 5.00A
product code 414-Z002

Sorry, that's all I know. I also sent you a PM the other day about the Air Control Valve. Can you read it and get back to me when you have time. Thanks
Oliver

OC94rx7,

Thanks for the info. I'm putting the pieces together slowly, it surprises me that this information isn't well known though.

It turns out, his PFC has a sticker on it that says 415-Z002. Does this tell anyone anything?

I'll reply to your PM tomorrow. Not sure how I missed it.

Wade

He's probably got a Japan spec Power FC because U.S Apexi site listed 414-Z004 for PFC ECU part number.

What he has could be for the 280hp FD version in Japan? not sure.
