Gutted precat, and stock main cat. The sound is great if you like a mild exhaust sound. It is deep quiet if that helps any. WOT is basically a bunch of rushing air until you get to 4500 when is sounds like a harrier jet with earplugs on. The best sound it makes is while just cruising or deccelerating where it makes a very deep and droned rumble that seems like it could be heard at least 1/8 mile away. I like the sound becuase I get the best of both worlds, non-cop egging, yet also the "you know what time it is" when I roll up at a stop light.
The performance is great to boot. Very free flowing. I felt a great increase in power.

Anyhow:
Does any one have a Pettit exhaust? I just got their catalog and it says it has a 5&1/4 polished tip like mine.

legendr35, thanks for the compliment. :)
I'm the original owner, the car has 36,000 miles, and I keep her as clean as I can. To be fair, that picture is a few years old and was taken 10 minutes after I detailed her thoroughly. :)
(it is the original paint tho)

Here's my REALLY old Borla catback designed back in 93. I guess that's why the tips are so small. It was before the Rice Era

Here is a video of my HKS Super Dragger (please note, this is also with a 2.75" midpipe, and stock precat).

The PFS is definately the best. Deep and quiet at idle and it roars at over 5k. It's light and doesn't look like a trashcan.
