Question Possible TPS problem

ok so i am in need of some help desperately. so my fd is running very poorly at idle and low rpm acceleration. and the engine code comes up as tps sensor also while running it has a blueish smoke (lightly smoking). now all of this occured after i had replaced a bad air charge temp sensor. so that means i had to remove the intercooler pipes, throttle body and uim. now i hear anytime you work near the throttle body you have to recalibrate the tps. Can anyone PLEASE help???

Yes, I can help. Go Grab a Multimeter and a Paperclip.

What you want to do is loosen the bolts holding the TPS unit in and that is how you adjust it, by moving the actual unit back and forth and testing it. Ill link you to a write up.

Here is the one I used

What does it idle at right now if you turn the car on?
Does it want to die out if you press on the gas?
Is the RPM's spuratic?
If yes I would say its possibly out of adjustment.

Just try and get the correct readings off it right now and if you are getting diff numbers then you know its the TPS.

Nice thanks to you to!

When my TPS was out of adjustment because one of the bolts was tourqued off in the bracket holding it in mine drove like complete ***.

It idled at 2k RPM and the RPM would drop to like 100 every time I shifted, and 5/10 times it would die when i down shifted to a stop.

Its pretty easy to check if you have a multimeter. Good luck!
