Generally the car starts and idles, but has no power and no real acceleration. Seems like the car is in limp mode, but there won't be any CEL codes (or at least not ones which would cause limp mode).

If the CAS is faulty usually the car will not start. Fuel injectors will not fire and while cranking the tach will not move at all. If it is slightly moving during cranking it is receiving a signal from the CAS.
