Possible solution to your wiring Nightmares
Possible solution to your wiring Nightmares
Okay probably not that big of a deal, but might be enough to save you some time and money. Did you know most of the wiring plugs on on your fd can be found in the 93- 97 Mazda 626 and ford probes? Virtually every type of keyed plug can be found from the injector plugs, to simple sensor plugs. Obviously the wiring color would not be retained if you decided to keep the wiring as well. The advantage is these plugs are probably in a lot better shape because they are subject to less heat and they wont cost you much since there are several of these vehicles at the junkyard. I spent the day replacing most of my old plugs and wiring, as mine had been cracked and broken.
Thanks man, I figure any little tips here and there can help a bit, you know how expensive parts can be sometimes and plus you have to wait weeks. Not much FD's out there in the junkyards.
My mum has a 93 626.
I've noticed that her sunroof and elec window switches appear to be similar to that in my FD (though I haven't checked closely enough to say if they are a direct match).
