Previous owner put 245/45 and lowered the car, so now the fenders rub, and the inner lip kinda stuck out. I was wondering whether a body shop can repair this and roll it in without chipping the paint. I tried tapping it back in, but the paint started chipping....can a body shop do this without further ruinging the fender or by adding bondo?
A good body shop or a good rim/tire place should be able to do it. Ususally they heat up the lip with a heat gun and then roll it, apparently the paint doesn't chip/flake that way.
Spreewell racing should be reasonably close to you and they sell lots of big rims and I know they have the tools to roll fenders.

There is NO reason why 245/45s would rip out a fender lip unless he had some cheap wheels on it with a poor offset or he might have have it aligned wrong..
same tire size and dropped i still rub
and fenders look like **** ,but just take it to a body shop
i got charged 75 for all 4 (2 in rear) just in case.when i get
coilovers.

thanks for the replies. I'm just concerned since most cars, if yu look at the fenders, they have a flat spot all around the wheel well from outside (side of car). ours just organically blends into and curls into the well...will this be a problem?
