Is it possible to have a bad ecu and still be able to start your car

I have a PFC. If I had something on the harness ground out/short out might it be possible that I fried part of my PFC and/or possibly fucked up the maps? The car still starts and drives fine until my secondaries kick on (try to go over 4k rpms) or I make more than 7psi of boost. After that I run rich as hell. If I had done no mods/racing prior to my car getting all messed up, is it possible I grounded out something on the harness and did some damage to the pfc?

it is possible you messed up the secondary injector drivers

although i have no clue about fail rate of pfcs.

most likely its something else.

what size are your secondarys?

you can reset the maps. can't remember how exactly but its in the manual that I downloaded by searching the power fc forum.

i doubt its the power fc.

have you reinstalled the harness? is it new or did you refurb it somehow?

how long have you been at this now? a month?

you might want to consider making an appt with Gotham Racing to have you car looked at by someone who knows what they are doing. they are in fort worth, tx

I swapped out my PFC with my friends PFC. His was tuned for a T78 but only ran 10lbs of boost. It was pretty hesitant below 4k rpms, but the second I romped on it the car took off no problem. Still only made 7psi of boost but it had no trouble going all the way to 8k. Does it sound like my car might have reset itself to the default maps?

Now that you've figured out your problem is your PFC find the way to set it to the base maps or get some base maps from someone IM sure if you ask Javier in Victoria for a base map he'll give it to you. I can tell you now its either your ECU is FUXORZ or you need it to be re-tuned...just reitorating what i said last night at bennigans.
