pls. help me identify these connectors
sorry for the noobness, but my car has been apart for a few years
can you tell me what these connectors are for? the '93 fsm makes me go these pictures are from the passenger kick panel area, where the ecm sits.
first of all, what is the control box in pic 2 for? I am a bit confused as the wires on that harness are looped, but can connect partially to the engine/chassis harnesses.
-I know that the male Green #1 can connect to the femaleRed #1. And the female Green #2 can connect to the male Red #1. That would make sense to me so that the black control box would have something to control, but that leaves 2 multi-connectors open on that subharness.
I'm also curious if red # 3, 4, and 5 should connect somewhere, and green #4.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any input.

the main reason I ask, is that I don't think my map sensor is reading right, even after trying a different one. and I'm not getting any fuel when cranking the motor. wondering if maybe this control box has something to do w/ it.

I just ran into the problem so I think i might be able to help you out....I'm just tryin go off memory so I may not be 100% correct. If the plug doesn't fit, then it don't go there. The control box in pic 2 is for fan control module. It turns the fans on when the coolant temp is too hot even when the car is off. The harness in pic 2 is just a inline harness that allows the coolant module to be added as a recall for mazda. And if I am not mistaken the connectors are color coded.
green 1 to red 1
red 2 to green 2
male green 2 goes up to the connector behind the evap housing...it's kind of a pain to get to but it is there.
And I think that red 3 is a diagnostic connector. you might want to double check on that. If it is, it remains disconnected.
I can't remember the rest without looking at my setup. Just remember that it is an inline harness so what goes in, has to come out.
