Unhappy Pls Help! got me puzzled

Ok here is my story; I just put in a new motor in my 93 FD. The motor is a ported motor with 3mm seals, GT 35/40 single turbo kit. I eliminated all emissions, I have stock fuel pump, stock injectors, and the entire fuel system is stock (just so I can start the car and break in the motor).
I am using the stock harness that came out of a 94 FD, with an apexi power FC. I put everything together stock just so I can start the car. when it started up (with stock computer) its seems to be running real rich like its dumping too much fuel, Its idling @ 2500, and when you giving it gas it breaks up at about 3500rpm and starts to back fire. Someone told me it sound like a timing problem to check the crack angle sensor, or it might be ignition problems, fuel regulator, or pressure sensor. I just don't know where to begin. All I know my car has been down for 2 years and I really want to get my baby back on the road. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks...

Stock ecu will not be mapped for the ported motor and will be looking for little things like oh say the air pump, ACV system, and so on. I just read how the ACV constantly injects air into the engine at idle (stock ECU). I'm pretty sure this is port air injection. Either way, if it's been removed, the ECU will be dumping fuel in to compensate for an air flow that isn't there anymore. There is no sensor at idle that will re-adjust the mixture (O2 sensor only at medium load part throttle conditions). Then there is the probable fact that the ECU is MISSING many of the signals it is looking for from say the turbo controls, and probably the AWS, and so on. On top of that, did you set the throttle position sensor correctly. See the manual. Is the idle speed control trying to compensate for the missing everything? If so, then there's not much you can do. While I'm no expert in the ported motor/single turbo/rip all "extraneous" don't understand what they do's off the engine, I'm thinking you will get real poor performance off the stock ecu like that. Get the PFC hooked up, and get it tuned. Soon. Before you lean the motor with your inadequate fuel system and are down for another two years.

sorry to be harsh, but... I forgot the Metamucil this morning!!
